Sharjah: In the sixth group match of the Asia Cup T20, Pakistan defeated Hong Kong by three runs and qualified for the Super Four stage. No player from Hong Kong could cross double figures.
Shadab Khan guided 4 players to the pavilion while Muhammad Nawaz took 3 wickets, Naseem Shah 2 and Shah Nawaz Durmani took 1 wicket.
In the sixth and most important match of Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan has given Hong Kong a target of 194 runs to win. Captain Babar Azam returned to the pavilion after scoring 9 runs. Muhammad Rizwan and Fakhrzaman played cautiously to push the score forward and completed the team's half-century in the second ball of the eighth over. Earlier Nazakat Khan after winning the toss said that he is confident of achieving the target and the wicket is looking like home ground.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam on the contrary said that he wanted to bat first. Both the captains retained the squads of their previous matches played against India. The match between the two teams is being played in Sharjah, the winning team will qualify for the Super Four stage while the losing team will be eliminated from the event.
